Ayo Labinjoh, mother of Anu, the teenager claiming to be Davido’s daughter, has caused a stir online with new statements about her daughter’s paternity
Labinjoh, who recently took over her daughter’s social media account to allow Anu to focus on her mental health and schoolwork, said she was traveling to Lagos and Ibadan. She addressed the ongoing conflict with the Afrobeats star, claiming he refused to discuss matters privately despite Anu’s request for a conversation.
“This is Ayo Labinjoh. Thank you for all your DMs. I am currently on the road traveling on my way to Lagos first, then IB. I’m a business trader and travel a lot across West Africa. I have asked Anu to log out of this account and I will be taking over again full time. I want her to focus on her mental health and school work. She asked David if he wanted to talk to me but he refused. We could have worked out an independent DNA test for Anu,” she wrote.
Labinjoh disputed Davido’s claims that five DNA tests had been conducted, calling the reports “delusional” and saying, “To say you did 5 DNA tests, not even two anymore silencing us all these years is delusional. You want to contact us privately but tell people publicly that I’m a bitch and obsessed fan you paid off after 5 negative tests, call our child mad and bullied her to the core on January 15th, 2026.” She added that the family has not seen any published results of these tests.
She also revealed plans to visit the US Embassy to register Anu as the child of a US citizen using a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA), which requires either acknowledgement of paternity or a DNA test. “We are ready for our 2nd DNA test supervised by David’s embassy. NOBODY CAN SILENCE ANU,” she wrote.
Tagging media personality Daddy Freeze, Labinjoh alleged that the only DNA test conducted in 2014 was improperly handled: “The only DNA test was altered September 2014. There was no DNA swab. They took Anu’s blood and Davido’s blood was drawn separately in a room we were not allowed to enter. The false negative test with a big bag of money. There is no record of 5 DNA tests anywhere, and I never picked any hospital. Dr Adeleke picked the hospital lab and paid for it. It is not ours.”
Her posts have reignited public debate, with Labinjoh insisting that the family seeks a fair, transparent DNA test to clarify Anu’s paternity once and for all.
