The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again lowered its premium motor spirit (PMS) price to N815

A Daily Post correspondent who visited Abuja on Monday morning confirmed that NNPCL retail outlets are now selling petrol at N815 per liter, down from the previous N835, marking a N20 reduction.

The revised price is already in effect at NNPCL stations in Wuse Zones 4 and 6, along the Keffi‑Abuja Road, and on Kubwa Expressway. An attendant at one of the stations, who requested anonymity, said the new rate was introduced on Sunday evening.

Despite the reduction, NNPCL’s petrol remains N79 more expensive than the N739 per liter currently offered at MRS filling stations, supported by Dangote Refinery, across the country.

It should be recalled that NNPCL had earlier cut its petrol price by N80 to N835 on December 19, 2025, following a price war in the downstream sector triggered by Dangote Refinery’s gantry price of N699 per liter.
