Defying restrictions on vehicle convoys, public gatherings, and a state-imposed curfew, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at her Sallah rally by helicopter and addressed a large crowd of supporters

From the podium, she delivered a bold declaration:
“Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira woman; this is my land. I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.”
Her speech came despite warnings from the Kogi State Government and police, who had banned rallies and public gatherings over security concerns. However, Akpoti-Uduaghan insisted on her right to return home, standing firm in the face of opposition.
Currently serving a six-month suspension from the Senate, the lawmaker has been outspoken against key political figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Her defiant homecoming rally signals her continued influence and determination.
Despite the restrictions, the event has drawn a massive turnout, with supporters celebrating her return in a peaceful gathering.
