Gunmen have abducted the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ose Local Government Area, Ondo state, Nelson Adepoyigi
Adepoyigi, who is the chairman of APC in Ifon Ward 5 in Ose Local Government, was reportedly abducted along the Benin-Ifon-Owo expressway on Monday evening.
The details of how the incident occurred are still sketchy.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the politician was k!dnapped at the entrance of his farm.
Ayanlade said, “I can confirm to you that the chairman APC ward 5 was k!dnapped at the entrance of his farm along Ifon-Owo road.
“At the receipt of the report, the DPO Ifon, in collaboration with the hunters, local VGN and Nigeria Army personnel, have launched a manhunt for the suspects.”
The command urged anyone with information that could aid the rescue operation to come forward.
