Veteran entertainer and activist Charly Boy has issued a strong warning to politicians planning to rig the 2027 general election, stating that anyone attempting to do so should be prepared to face severe consequences
He described the upcoming election as a “defining moment” for Nigeria and emphasized that credible elections are the solution to the country’s bad governance.
Charly Boy also reacted to the Lagos State Government’s decision to rename the “Charly Boy Bus Stop” in Bariga, calling it “silly and a distraction” and reiterating his focus on advocating for the welfare of Nigerians struggling with hunger and poverty.
Charly Boy said: “The 2027 election will be a defining moment for Nigeria. Anybody that plans to rig should be ready to die. It is rig and die. Because by that time, our eye go clear well well. E don clear small o. What we are about to see in 2026 will make Nigerians decide whether to continue in this manner or to cause a revolution to happen in this country,”
“The solution to bad governance in Nigeria can only come when our votes begin to count. So, our concern right now should be how our votes would count in 2027,”
