A teenage girl suddenly fell ill at a graduation ball before later dying in hospital.
The youngster, named locally as Jessica Moore, was enjoying her school Debs ball when she began to become unwell in the early hours of this morning.
The 19-year-old’s shocked friends called an ambulance but despite the efforts of paramedics she was pronounced dead in hospital, reports the Irish Mirror.
Gardai have launched an investigation into the death of the teenager from from Loughrea in Co Galway.
A source said: “Jessica took ill sometime after 2am, she said to her friends that she wasn’t feeling well and then collapsed.
“Statements will be taken from other students at the event and anyone else that came in contact with Jessica. CCTV at the venue could also form part of the investigation.” Too sad.
