Former Nigerian lawmaker, Shina Peller, has shed light on the speculation surrounding his alleged relationship with popular TikTok personality, Peller
In a recent conversation with Channels TV, Shina Peller set the record straight, revealing that the social media star is not a member of the esteemed Peller family.
According to Shina Peller, the name “Peller” is synonymous with his family’s legacy, courtesy of his father, the legendary magician Professor Peller. However, he made it clear that the TikTok sensation has simply borrowed the name to further his career, rather than being a genuine relative.
Shina Peller acknowledged the comedian’s clever move, stating that he has successfully leveraged the Peller name to gain widespread recognition. Nevertheless, he reaffirmed that there is no familial connection between the two, putting the rumors to rest.
By doing so, Shina Peller has drawn a clear distinction between the Peller family’s heritage and the TikTok star’s adopted moniker.
He said, “I have heard about the TikTok star Peller and a lot of people have asked me whether he’s a member of our family.
“Truly, Professor Peller’s family is quite extended, but he is not a member of the family.
“The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father as a magician and it’s a name that the family has adopted since the time of my father.
“So, Peller, the comedian is not a member of the Peller family. It’s a successful name. He’s just being smart. He’s being able to pop with the name. You can’t blame him but I can tell you categorically that he’s not a member of the Peller family.”
