Social media personality Tosin Silverdam has defended actress Toyin Abraham after she faced criticism over her worship at the Bestie Jesu Concert.
Tosin, who said he attended the concert, said he saw Toyin worshipping during the session and questioned why people were focusing on the way she expressed herself instead of the reasons behind her gratitude.
He also pointed out that Toyin gave ₦5,000 to everyone who attended the event to help with transportation.
In a post he shared, Tosin said:
“I just discovered there’s nothing actress Toyin Abraham will do on social media that some set of people wouldn’t drag her for. Kilode?
“I was there yesterday during the worship session at the Bestie Jesu Concert. Everyone was moved, and Toyin Abraham went into a trance. Now, I’ve seen lots of people dragging her.
“Do you guys even know what God has done in her life and family that has made her so grateful?
“They are not talking about the gifts and money she gave her fans. She gave everyone who attended ₦5,000 each for transport fares.
“But they have been talking about how she chose to worship her God.
“Na wah o. This is becoming disgusting, the way some people choose to bully Toyin by all means.
“She even said she lost her four-month pregnancy, but you guys didn’t hear that. You just continued dragging her.
It’s well with Toyin Abraham.”
