Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of his abducted sister and her two children
Makinde gave the assurance during a visit to Adelabu, where he sympathised with the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and members of his family over the incident.
The governor explained that his visit was also aimed at updating Adelabu on the steps being taken by the state government and security agencies to ensure the victims return home safely.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Makinde said: “You are all aware of what happened to the younger sister of my dear brother, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu.
“I actually came to brief him on what the government has been doing regarding that incident.
“My visit is also to let him know that by the grace of God, we will bring her and her sons back.”
