A woman has appeared before a court in Meru, Nairobi after
being charged with sending an abusive text message to a man. Emily Karimi, who
appeared before magistrate Eva Wambugu today denied the charge and was released
on Sh40,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.

Emily was charged with improper use of a licenced
telecommunication system when she sent a text message to one Mr George Mburugu
on October 19, 2015 that he had tiny genitals and she could not go to bed with
him. Her bail is yet to me met and the next hearing has been set for May 10.
