Yomi Casual has penned touching tribute to his late friend, actor Alexx Ekubo

Yomi described Ekubo as a uniquely kind, loyal, and selfless individual who touched the lives of everyone around him.
The fashion designer wrote;
”It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute to my dear friend and brother, Alex Ekubo.
For over 15 years, Alex was more than a friend to me—he was family. We shared dreams, laughter, victories, challenges, and countless memories that created a bond stronger than words can describe.
Alex was a rare gem: a trusted adviser, a teacher, a loyal friend, and a brother in every sense of the word. Whenever I needed him, he showed up without hesitation. His kindness, loyalty, and selflessness touched everyone privileged enough to know him.
To my family, Alex wasn’t just my friend; he was family. He celebrated with us in joyful moments, stood by us through difficult times, and became an unforgettable part of our lives.
Our friendship was the envy of many because what we shared was rare. We lived like real brothers. We fought, settled our differences, laughed, hustled, won, and made money together. Through it all, our bond remained unshaken.
The world tried everything to break us. People created stories and called us names, but they never understood the depth of our friendship. We stayed strong because we knew exactly what we meant to each other.
It hurts deeply knowing I didn’t spend your last days on earth with you. Alex, this one pain me oooo! If only I knew our time was running out, I would have done everything possible to be by your side. That regret will stay with me for a very long time.
Ore, I cannot blame you for keeping your illness private. Knowing the world we live in, I can only imagine the things people would have said. You carried your battles with dignity and strength.
Thank you for being the brother I chose and the friend anyone would be blessed to have. Thank you for your guidance, loyalty, sacrifices, wisdom, and the countless memories we created together.
I will miss you deeply, Ore. I will miss the calls, the polite insults, “BLACK GOAT” the laughter, the arguments, the business conversations, and the brotherhood. Your memory will forever live in my heart.
Rest peacefully, my dear ore and brother. Until we meet again, you will never be forgotten. 🕊️
