Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are being sued by a group of Memphis rappers over claims of copyright infringement related to their song ‘Fuk Sumn‘.
The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday by Vanda Watkins (also known as Criminal Manne), Hayward Ivy (known as DJ Squeeky), and the estate of the late rapper Kilo G, according to ‘TMZ‘.
The plaintiffs allege that ‘Fuk Sumn‘, a track from the album ‘Vultures 1‘, illegally samples their work without proper credit or compensation.
The song, released in March, opens with a country rap sample before transitioning into its main beat.
The group claims it is their voices that Kanye, 47, and his Yeezy record label, along with Ty Dolla $ign, 42, used without obtaining permission.
Kanye, who is reportedly preparing to release a new album, has not yet responded to the allegations.
