Portable responded, stipulating a fee of N10 million for the appearance.
Carter Efe countered with an offer of N9.9 million, but Portable declined, insisting on the original amount.
He cited instances where celebrities such as Davido, Ini Edo, Shallipopi, and Wale have attended his events and shown appreciation through gifts.
Portable emphasized that he is a star and does not need to solicit opportunities, stating, “Stars do not beg to shine.” He advised Carter Efe to seek funding from his audience if he wishes to secure his appearance, refusing to accept less than N10 million.
Portable further explained that he was divinely guided to charge for his services, quoting a conversation with God: “Do not give them the glory for free, collect money.”
He reiterated his stance, stating that Carter Efe must meet his demands if he desires his participation.
