Singer and content creator Nasboi has shared a heartfelt message urging parents to play a more active role in raising their children.
In a post shared on his page, the entertainer reminded parents that providing for their children financially is important, but being emotionally present is just as necessary.
“Don’t just be parents, be guardians,” he wrote.
Nasboi acknowledged that many parents work tirelessly to give their children a better future. However, he stressed that while chasing financial stability, they shouldn’t lose sight of the need to be actively involved in their children’s lives.
“Yes, life is demanding, and I know many of you are working tirelessly to provide for your children. But while you’re busy building a future for them, don’t forget to be present in their lives today.”
He encouraged parents to watch over their children, guide them, correct them when necessary, and instill good values, noting that children need more than material support.
“Children don’t just need provision, they need direction.”
According to him, building a responsible society begins at home, with parents who choose to be guardians rather than just providers.
“A society filled with responsible adults starts with parents who chose to be guardians, not just providers. Be a guardian, not just a parent.”
Nasboi concluded by reminding parents that children often grow into what they consistently experience and observe.
“Children become what they consistently see, hear, and are allowed to do. Be a guardian, not just a parent,” he said.
