Disc jockey, DJ Switch has slammed First Lady, Remi Tinubu over her recent advice encouraging poor Nigerians to start small businesses by selling items such as akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli
In a strongly worded post, DJ Switch accused the First Lady of being disconnected from the realities facing millions of Nigerians, arguing that while other countries are investing in technology, innovation and opportunities for young people, leaders are offering what she described as outdated solutions.
“With absolutely no due respect Remi! Th.under f!re you! While other nations are creating spaces and infrastructure to develop their people for this rapidly technologically advancing world, you want us to sell kuli kuli? And the otondo’s behind you are nodding their greedy necks! I can’t express how much I despise you people,” she wrote.
Her comments came in response to remarks by the First Lady urging Nigerians, particularly women to embrace small-scale businesses as a way of earning a living.
