"Na who collect grant for Kuli-Kuli?' - Rudeboy questions Remi Tinubu's advice

Singer Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, has joined the growing criticism of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s advice encouraging Nigerians to consider small businesses such as selling akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli.

Reacting to the statement, the music star questioned why Nigerians should be encouraged to focus on roadside food businesses at a time when many expect greater investment in technology, innovation and infrastructure.

In a post shared on his page, Rudeboy wrote in Pidgin:

“So like dis now make we forget technologies and infrastructures go invest in akara and kuli kuli 🙄.

Abeg na who be that person wey collect grant abi na loan for kuli kuli 🤨”.

His comments come days after the First Lady advised Nigerians, particularly women and young people, to embrace small-scale businesses as a way of earning a living. She cited ventures such as selling akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli as examples of businesses people could start with little capital
