AY Makun has expressed his disappointment and frustration on social media about the lack of support he has received from his male colleagues for his new movie, “The Waiter”

In a post on his X page, AY Makun questioned why he seems to be getting more support from female colleagues than from his fellow men.
AY Makun’s comments suggest that he feels his male peers are not rallying behind him as they would for female filmmakers, implying that women in the industry receive more support and attention from men.
He emphasized his hard work and dedication to his craft, wondering if having “breast and yansh” is a prerequisite for receiving support from fellow men.
Despite feeling discouraged, AY Makun vowed to continue promoting his movie, “The Waiter”, with passion and determination.
He Vowed to push the movie with his “full chest” in cinemas nationwide, affirming his commitment to his craft and his refusal to give up.
He wrote:
“One day man go tell man “wetin man do man”. We work so hard to stay relevant and take care of our responsibilities. Must we have breast and yansh to have the support of our fellow men?
“I am still the only man left in the business of filmmaking who is yet to give it all up. THE WAITER is a beautiful movie. I will continue to PERSONALLY push it with my full chest in cinemas nationwide. I am too legit to quit. #thewaitermovie”
