Two boxing legends are officially set to face off, as Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have signed a deal to fight in an exhibition match scheduled for spring 2026, TMZ Sports reports
The bout, organized by CSI Sports/Fight Sports, does not yet have a confirmed date or venue, but both fighters have expressed excitement over the historic showdown.

“This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,” Tyson said. “Boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable — and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets. I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”
Mayweather, however, appeared unfazed. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” he said. “You already know that if I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”
While the fight will not affect Mayweather’s flawless 50-0 record, it marks another high-profile return to the ring for both men. Mayweather’s last professional fight came in 2017 against Conor McGregor, though he has since taken part in several exhibitions, including one against Logan Paul.
Tyson last fought in November 2024 against Jake Paul in a match that drew 108 million viewers worldwide. Before that, his last professional appearance was in 2005 against Kevin McBride.
