Friends and family bid farewell to Alexx Ekubo at funeral

Friends, family members, and colleagues bid an emotional farewell to late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo on Thursday as he was laid to rest in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State, bringing his funeral rites to a close

The burial followed a service of songs in Lagos and a wake held at the family residence in Arochukwu.

A video from the funeral captured the poignant moment as pallbearers solemnly carried Ekubo’s coffin while a trumpet played in the background.

Also seen in the clip was the actor’s wife, Anulika Amakom Ekubo, holding his framed photograph alongside two other family members as they walked behind the casket, visibly mourning their loved one.

Earlier in the funeral proceedings, prayers had been offered for Anulika and the entire Ekubo family as they grieved the actor’s passing.
