Wojciech Szczesny, the veteran Polish goalkeeper, has announced his retirement from professional football

The 33-year-old, who last played for Juventus and the Poland national team, has decided to hang up his gloves after a successful career spanning over 15 years.
Szczesny began his career at Legia Warsaw before moving to Arsenal in 2009, where he spent seven seasons and won two FA Cups. He then joined Roma on loan, followed by a permanent transfer to Juventus in 2017, winning three Serie A titles and two Italian Cups.
At the international level, Szczesny earned 66 caps for Poland, representing his country at two European Championships and the 2018 World Cup.
Throughout his career, Szczesny was known for his exceptional shot-stopping, distribution, and leadership. He will be remembered as one of the top goalkeepers of his generation.
Szczesny’s retirement marks the end of an era, and he will be missed by fans and teammates alike. His contributions to the sport will not be forgotten, and he will always be regarded as a top-class goalkeeper.
