The record-breaking artwork, titled Impossibility Is a Myth, was unveiled in Abuja to commemorate the 2025 World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD). Spanning an impressive 12,303 square meters—more than twice the size of a football field—the canvas surpassed the previous record by nearly 3,000 square meters.

The unveiling at Eagles’ Square attracted civil society groups, diplomats, traditional rulers, top government officials, and stakeholders in the arts and culture sector. During the event, Tagbo-Okeke was presented with his Guinness World Records certificate.

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, hailed the young artist’s achievement as a “historic and inspiring milestone.” She emphasized that age and challenges should never be barriers to greatness, stressing that every Nigerian, regardless of background or disability, has the potential to contribute meaningfully to society.

Tagbo-Okeke’s father, Mr. Tagbo Okeke, shared insights into his son’s artistic journey, highlighting his love for color and the structured routine that helped him stay focused. He noted that the artwork’s theme, Impossibility Is a Myth, symbolized the challenges they overcame in bringing the vision to life.

United Nations Resident Coordinator in Nigeria, Dr. Mohamed Fall, represented by UNICEF’s Cristian Munduate, underscored the importance of disability inclusion in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He stated that equal access to opportunities for people with disabilities is crucial for societal progress.

Senator Victor Umeh (Anambra Central) also celebrated the achievement, emphasizing that autistic children can be highly productive when given the right support. He called on the government to invest more in specialized education and care for autistic children.

Additionally, Chikaodi Ofoegbu, Head of Retail at MTN Nigeria, stressed the need to create an environment where innovation and inclusivity thrive, urging Nigerians to embrace these values.
