Rapper, YCee has finally spoken about his prolonged absence from the music industry, revealing that he deliberately stepped away from the spotlight to focus on himself
The “Juice” hitmaker made the revelation during a livestream with streamer Cater Efe, where he explained that his break from music was part of a personal journey aimed at self-discovery and growth.

According to YCee, the time away allowed him to reflect on his life and priorities, and he now feels ready to make a return to the music scene.
“I have been on the mountain. I went on a journey of self-discovery. But I am back,” he said.
The rapper also shed light on the origin of his popular nickname, “Omo Alhaji.” He explained that although he is not a practicing Muslim, his father is, which inspired the moniker that became one of his signature identities.
YCee added that his personal beliefs are rooted in a simple philosophy centered around love.
Before stepping away from the spotlight, the rapper was one of the most prominent names in Nigerian music, delivering several hit songs including “Jagaban,” “Juice,” and “Omo Alhaji,” which helped establish him as a household name in the industry.
