Seun Kuti calls for law to regulate MIRACLES PERFORMING pastors

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti is stirring conversation online after sharing a bold opinion about pastors who claim to perform miracles.

In a recent post, he questioned why there are no strict rules guiding such powerful claims.

According to him, if someone says they can heal or perform miracles, there should be a proper system in place to verify it.

He didn’t stop there Seun suggested that the Federal Government should step in and create laws to regulate these claims.

In his view, it’s not enough for people to rely on testimonies from churches or viral clips on social media. Instead, he believes such extraordinary acts should be tested in a credible medical setting.

To make his point clearer, he proposed that anyone claiming to perform miracles should be examined at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

There, medical professionals can properly assess whether these claims are real.

Seun also emphasized consistency. If a miracle is genuine, he argued, it should be repeatable not just a one-time story.

For example, if someone says they can restore sight, it should be demonstrated under medical supervision using verifiable cases.

Taking things further, he insisted that there should be consequences for false claims.

In his opinion, anyone who cannot prove their miracle after making such assertions should be held accountable under the law.
Here’s how he put it:

“A law should be made to ensure that no one is allowed to perform miracles, and anyone caught claiming to perform a miracle should be sent to jail. The only exception would be if the miracle can be proven at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

“They should perform the miracle for ten people at LUTH. I do not want to hear about fake miracles, because your God can do all things. I am not talking about miracles that claim to heal someone who has been blind their entire life.

In this case I’m talking about someone with no eyeballs at all and if the miracle is real, the person should gain full vision. If you cannot perform the miracle, you should be held accountable.

“If a person is unable to perform the miracle, they should be sentenced to fifty years in prison.”

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions, with many debating whether such regulation is necessary or even possible.
