Annaleine ‘Anne’ Reynolds bought a land in Hawaii and was surprised to learn a $500k house had been mistakenly built on it
In 2018, Annaleine ‘Anne’ Reynolds purchased the land in Hawaii’s Paradise Park for her planned women’s wellness retreat.
However, while she was away during the pandemic, she received a call informing her that a half-million-dollar house had been mistakenly erected on her plot.

The mix-up occurred when developers accidentally built the house on her land instead of the intended location.
Now, Reynolds finds herself embroiled in a legal dispute, with the developers suing her, along with the construction company and others involved.
Despite rejecting offers for alternative lots, Reynolds is facing challenges, including squatters occupying the empty house. She has filed a counterclaim, denying responsibility for the unauthorized construction.
The lawsuit aims to determine accountability for the costly error.
